• Language learners at higher levels of English language proficiency require more to time master linguistic features than lower level language learners (Cook et al 2007, 7)

• Students at this stage need opportunities to develop their metacognitive awareness (Ferlazzo and Hull-Sypnieski, 2016)

• Cooperative learning at this stage is imperative for language growth and social skill development (Hattie, 2012)
