Visual Support - Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIN), Visual Thinking strategies (VTS), and sentence starters 

Learning by Doing - Demonstrations, performances, virtual field trips with activities before, during and after

Oral Language Development - Reflective questioning such as "Why is this important?", one-on-one time for students to share and discuss, conference to give feedback and model expectations, Think-Pair-Share so language learners can engage in authentic and meaningful conversations

Writing Support - pay attention to cognates in the student's native language, allow them to use their native language to brainstorm ideas, encourage during to use technology to create bilingual picture books or illustrated bilingual reports, supply a word bank, structure writing into shorter and more manageable subsets
