Bridging
Research Findings
The sociocultural approach to second language acquisition claims that students at the Bridging level should be able to use both English as well as their home language for a variety of academic purposes (Valdèz Et al., 2015).
Obtaining a bridging level of language acquisition is a methodical process that requires suffient time, focus, support monitoring, and practice (Hattie and Yates, 2014).
